Sapelimiekkailun intensiivikurssi järjestetään 25.10.2025 klo 10-17 (klo 13-14.30 ruokatauko) EHMS:n Sörnäisten salilla osoitteessa Suvilahdenkatu 10 E (5. Kerros).
Kurssilla tutustutaan sapelimiekkailun perusteisiin 1800-luvun lopun englantilaisten lähteiden pohjalta. Kurssin tarkoituksena on harjoitella sapelimiekkailun perusteet ja valmistella osallistujat EHMS:n normaaleihin harjoituksiin.
Mukaan tarvitset sisäliikuntavaatteet ja -kengät sekä vesipullon ja hikipyyhkeen. Suositellaan myös oman alasuojan mukaan ottamista, jos sellaisen omistaa. Salillamme on myös suihku. Voit ottaa myös omat miekkailuvarusteet mukaan, jos sellaiset on.
Kurssin hinta on 70€ ja siihen sisältyy harjoitukset EHMS:llä 25.10.-30.11.2025. Jos olet jo maksanut harjoituskaudesta tuolta ajalta, kurssi on maksuton.

Vähimmäisikäraja on 15 vuotta, ja alle 18-vuotiailta edellytämme, että saamme huoltajan allekirjoittaman suostumuslomakkeen viimeistään harjoitusten alussa.

The intensive course for saber fencing is held on Saturday 25.10.2025 at 10-17 o'clock (lunch break 13-14.30) at the EHMS hall (Suvilahdenkatu 10 E, 5th floor).
The course is an introduction to the basics of saber fencing according to late 19th century English manuals. The aim of the course is to practice the basics of saber fencing and prepare the participants for regular training at EHMS.
You will need indoor training clothes and -shoes, a water bottle, and a towel if you prefer. We also recommend a protective cup, if you have one. There is a shower at the hall. You may also bring your own fencing gear, if you have some.
The price of the course is 70€ and it includes training at the hall 25.10.-30.11.2025 at EHMS. If you have already paid the training fee for the period, the course is free of charge.
The instructor is Ville Välimäki.
If for some reason you need to cancel your participation, please let us know at info@ehms.fi. Please do not attend when ill.
The age requirement is 15, and we require a note of permission signed by a legal guardian from participants under 18.
